{"id":123,"date":"2020-10-27T16:16:00","date_gmt":"2020-10-27T16:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/katkat.org\/?p=123"},"modified":"2023-02-12T16:19:46","modified_gmt":"2023-02-12T16:19:46","slug":"123","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alminawi.com\/aslt\/2020\/10\/27\/123\/","title":{"rendered":"Systems (through a sociotechnical leaders&#8217; lense)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In my view, a sociotechnical leader may think systems as follows: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>My focus corresponding to the \u201cSystems\u201d Theme has been, and will continue to be, on best value for money, knowledge management, risk management, and most importantly continuous improvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I will continue to see the big picture, think systems, and focus on long-term success. I will always try to create life and work systems with useful \u201cbells and whistles\u201d and remain functional \u2013 and even prosper \u2013 beyond my time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For this purpose, I will learn better ways to diversify the decision making tools and techniques while assessing the life cycle cost of systems at work. Also, I need to advance my capabilities to integrate qualitative and quantitative performance catalysts through intelligently avoiding, mitigating, transferring, or accepting risks and polarities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I also think it is a good idea to be \u201cA doubting Thomas\u201d, inquiring and reflecting upon the opposing systems in our life to understand the interconnections among their apparently conflicting impact. This would help me in managing the corresponding contradictions in a better way through maximizing the positive effects of the VUCA-controlled, paradoxical systems in my world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To wrap up the \u201csystems\u201d aspect, I will never stop learning and improving.
